Frecciarossa was born in 1919, when my great-grandfather Mario Odero fell in love with the Oltrepò Pavese hills, he who until then traded coal between his hometown, Genoa, and England, where he lived. After the First World War, back in Italy, Mario decides to buy an estate in the Oltrepò, which has always been "the Genoese countryside". He therefore buys this beautiful nineteenth-century estate, with a particular name that actually comes from an error. Frecciarossa derives from the erroneous transcription of the ancient toponym Fraccia Rossa, i.e. "red landslide," to say of the clayey earth, furrowed by ferruginous veins, frequently subject to the moods of groundwater. An oversight of the cadastre and Frecciarossa becomes the name of our hill. Bottles in perfect condition in all respects

Rare and fabulous lot of Nebbiolo Oltrepò Pavese by Negrotto Giustiniani. In the ancient and magnificent cellars located at the foot of the Castle of Retorbido, restructured to adapt to modern commercial activity, the varied winemaking processes begin. The construction of the large cellars dates back to the 12th century and thanks to the careful recovery work of the old walls which took place at the beginning of the 1900s by the Marquis Durazzo and his wife Marquise Matilde, they now bear a priceless heritage. The experience will lead you to admire this historical heritage emphasized by the "infernotto", i.e. the small private cellar where you keep the rarest and most valuable bottles belonging to the Marquises. In the wine shop inside the Borgo, there will be a tasting of 3 fine wines that for over four centuries the Marquises Cattaneo Adorno Giustiniani have continued to produce with the same passion of the past, updated to the most enlightened winemaking technology. Among the various labels, Nebbiolo dell'Oltrepo Pavese stands out, a small and ambitious denomination exclusive to the vineyards of the Castle, among the oldest and smallest in Italy, already awarded a gold medal. By visiting the historic cellars you can admire and taste the best vintages since 1946.

Resa per ettaro: 80 quintali Sistema di allevamento: Guyot Vinificazione: I diversi “cru” vengono vinificati separatamente con fermentazioni e macerazioni dedicate, affinando poi in barriques per 12/18 mesi. Segue poi l’assemblaggio dei “cru” e l’imbottigliamento con affinamento in bottiglia di minimo 6 mesi.
