Speyside er hjertet af Skotland, og floden Livet er hovedpulsåren. I livet dalen ligger Glenlivet destilleriet, som med sit passende navn producerer whisky der passer Speyside-profilen efter bogen. Denne 15-årige aftapning er lavet af whisky, som efter sin primære lagring har gennemgået en efterlagring i friske franske fade, som er lavet af Limousin-eg. Dette giver et unikt lag af kompleksitet og karakter til den klassiske smag af Glenlivet. Et lækkert trin op fra den 12-årige Glenlivet, som viser hvad nogle ekstra år i fadene kan gøre ved destillatet.

Karat Bitter er en smagfuld boonekamp fremstillet af op mod 50 forskellige krydderurter. Bitteren er forædlet gennem mere end fire årtier, så den i dag fremstår som en harmonisk bitter, der er blød og rund i smagen, men også med sin helt egen personlighed.

The wines of Coche Dury are some of the most prized in any collection around the world. The Hospices de Beaune is a top-level wine estate covering 60 hectares, of which 85% are in premiers crus and grands crus areas. This Cuvée is made up from 5 superbly-placed Volnay Premier Cru lots (En Caillerets, Carelle Sous la Chapelle, Frémiets, Taillepieds and Le Village). Only 3-5 barrels are produced annually. For many years now, the Domaine’s vineyards have been cultivated taking a sustainable, environmentally-friendly approach (no chemical inputs), and even according to organic principles when the conditions over the year allow it, as they did in 2018. Bright purple in color. Nose with lively raspberry fruit and intensity, a hint of licorice. A rather firm and dense mouth that does not remove the wine’s nice subtlety.

1er Cru fra en af de bedste producenter i Volnay. Lafarge frembringer fremragende vine og årgang 2019 er ingen undtagelse!

One of only 2084 bottles produced! Age of the vines : 50-52 years old Chambertin is among the top 5 best grands crus in Burgundy. Its central position on a slightly sloping, moderately cool and windy hill gives the wine a unique texture. It faces east. This deep substratum is finely covered with limestone scree and silt which have settled for millenaries and which agriculture has mixed for many centuries. The soils of Le Clos de Bèze and Le Chambertin prove to be different: their difference comes from an unbalanced proportion between the composition of Bajocian crinoidal limestone and marly layers. Both upper and lower register aromas include the essence of plum, red cherry and lavender that contrasts with plenty of spice, earth and sauvage elements. The rich, powerful and gorgeously textured flavors possess excellent size and weight along with very solid concentration where the abundant amount of dry extract buffers the very firm tannic spine shaping the youthfully austere and impressively long finish where a touch of bitter cherry pit character arises. Once again, patience definitely advised. – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, Score: 92-95 The 2017 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a clean, precise bouquet that is focused and direct, offering red and black fruit, crushed stone and more terroir expression than the Mazoyères. The palate is medium-bodied, the sappy red fruit on the entry laced with marmalade and dried quince, and grippy in the mouth, with a touch of spiciness, although it does not fan out on the finish as I hoped.
