Ghost Block Winery is a 16 acre plot of Cabernet Sauvignon named for its proximity to Pioneer Cemetary in Yountville. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in 70% new French oak for 24 months before bottling. From winemaker Rob Lawson: "Explosive aromas of blackberries and raspberries with hints of caramel and caramel. It emphasizes dry herbs and vanilla on the nose, leading to a tempting palate of ripe plum, black cherry and dark chocolate. Integrated through the wine are mouth-watering cranberries and thick oak. This wine is young on release with aggressive tannins and a dusty finish. "This 2012 release has not been reviewed professionally, but the 2011 bottled received 94 points from Robert Parker.
