Riesling Spätlese "Deidesheimer Grainhübel" Dr. Deinhard 2007

German top riesling from 2007. A unique wine from honored Dr. Deinhard, now known as Von Winning. The grapes are harvested at Deidesheim's GG field Grainhübel in Mittelhaardt, Palatinate.

Grainhübel is located 117m - 150m above sea level and is richly exposed to sun and typically the grapes ripen early. The soil consists primarily of sand, clay and marl. Soil composition in Grainhübel provides mineral-heavy wine and therefore a good precondition for complex and dense Riesling wines.

The grapes from the Deidesheim area can achieve a honey-like fullness and body in strong combination with exciting acidity, of which this Riesling is a unique example. The wine offers tartier notes of honey, nuts and kerosene.
The wine is ripe for drinking, but has the potential to store for several years to come
