Soldera Case Basse 2016

René Langdahl Jørgensen named it red wine of the year with 99 points.
I have simply never experienced such a perfect young Case Basse, but the wildest thing is the way in which it stands out stylistically in relation to the whole group - and yet it is Brunello incarnate. A paradox. Clearly the lightest wine. Nature-feel, lifted with dangerous balsamic notes, Burgundian lift and perfume, full of currants and cranberries spiced with orange peel, light roasted coffee and country touches. Absolutely impossible to spit, red juice with perfect sangiovese bite, the red style in purezza, not the least bit green nor black, juicy, upright wine, almost jurassic touch... why... maybe because there is only 30 mg of sulphite in total, it struts of free will, the acidity is otherworldly, bite but wrapped in almost candied cranberry, but no sugary sensation at all… inexplicable. 99
