Burlotto, Barolo Cannubi 2015

CT-note (96 p): This was at it's peak about 30 minutes after being open. Huge nose of red cherry, cranberry, exotic spice and floral tones. It's deep and slightly firm with waves of flavor that unfurl one after the other, cherry, spice, along with floral and tar notes. It's powerful but balanced by a classic profile with slightly chewy tannins. The finish goes on forever and keeps you wanting for more. This is in its early drinking window but would expect a bit more development once the tannins ease a bit. It will be hard to let these sleep but this should be near perfection in in 5+ years. Acquired on release and since then stored in my Liebherr wine cabinet at optimal temperature and humidity. Perfect provenance, fill and labels.
