Overture er anden vinen til den ikoniske Opus One i Oakville, der er resultatet af verdens måske mest succesfulde joint ventures mellem to af vin verdenens største og mest passionerede personligheder, Baron Philippe de Rothschild og Robert Mondavi.

Opus One har opnået kultstatus og bevaret sin position på trods af, at man stædigt fastholdt en stolt prispolitik, også i de år hvor de sænkede skuldrene i Bordeaux og på trods af, at Napa Valley er blevet begavet med mange andre vidunderlige vine siden tæppet, gik op for Opus One i 1984, da man på en og samme gang præsenterede årgang 1979 og 1980.
Opus One sælges i dag med en begrænsning pr. kunde, og efter at James Suckling har noteret 100 point og udråbt 2013 årgangen til verdens bedste vin i 2016, så er det gået amok. Således antages det, at interessen i disse år alene i Japan er stor nok til at købe hele produktionen!
Derfor er det besluttet at Overture, der kom til i 1993, men hidtil udelukkende er blevet solgt fra vingården i Napa Valley, nu skal skaleres ud i international handel. Det er derfor kun 5. gang, at vi i Danmark kan opleve en flig af det, som Opus One handler om, uden at blive ruineret.

Opus One has achieved cult status and maintained its position despite stubbornly maintaining a proud pricing policy, even in the years when they shrugged their shoulders in Bordeaux and despite the fact that Napa Valley has been gifted with many other wonderful wines since, the curtain fell on Opus One in 1984, when they presented the 1979 and 1980 vintages at the same time.
Opus One is currently sold with a limit per customer, and after James Suckling scored 100 points and declared the 2013 vintage the world's best wine in 2016, things have gone crazy. It is believed that the interest in these years in Japan alone is great enough to buy the entire production!
Therefore, it has been decided that Overture, which was created in 1993, but has so far only been sold from the winery in Napa Valley, will now be scaled up into international trade. This is therefore only the 5th time that we in Denmark can experience a slice of what Opus One is all about without being ruined.

Overture è il secondo vino prodotto dall'iconica cantina Opus One di Oakville, frutto di quella che è forse la joint venture di maggior successo al mondo tra due delle personalità più grandi e appassionate del mondo del vino: il barone Philippe de Rothschild e Robert Mondavi.

Opus One ha raggiunto lo status di culto e ha mantenuto la sua posizione nonostante abbia ostinatamente mantenuto una politica dei prezzi orgogliosa, persino negli anni in cui a Bordeaux si sono tirati indietro e nonostante il fatto che la Napa Valley abbia da allora ricevuto in dono molti altri vini meravigliosi, il sipario su Opus One è calato nel 1984, quando hanno presentato contemporaneamente le annate 1979 e 1980.
Al momento, la vendita di Opus One prevede un limite per persona. cliente, e dopo che James Suckling ha ottenuto 100 punti e ha dichiarato l'annata 2013 il miglior vino del mondo nel 2016, le cose sono andate fuori controllo. Per questo motivo è stato deciso che Overture, fondata nel 1993 ma finora venduta solo nella sua sede nella Napa Valley, verrà ora ampliata al commercio internazionale. È quindi solo la quinta volta che in Danimarca possiamo sperimentare un pezzetto di ciò che rappresenta Opus One senza esserne rovinati.
