Barolo Vigna Madonna Assunta La Villa is the latest creation from Rocche dei Manzoni. The first vintage was 1999 and comes from Castelletto di Monforte d’Alba, a small hamlet on the edge of the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba. This means having an austere Barolo and the choice was precisely to vinify it and sell it after 10 years to be able to bring it to the market in the best possible shape.

Type of agriculture: sustainable aimed at reducing fungicides
Type of system: Guyot 4000 vines per Ha
Vinification: first fermentation and anthocyanin extraction in contact with the skins for about 21 days
Aging: aging in wood and first aging in cement. After bottling, further refinement in glass
Expected duration: over 30 years
ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES
Color: deep garnet red, vinous and intense
Aroma: underlines with great varietal impact all its potential, ranging from red fruits to undergrowth, from tobacco to chocolate, constantly evolving over time.
Flavour: compact, infinitely powerful, but with great balance
Special notes: serve at 18°. To be uncorked and decanted in a carafe
