Chateau Latour 1993 in perfect condition in every respect
The origins of the estate date back to around 1670, near the lookout tower built by the English in the 14th century.
Its fame grew in 1700, with exports to England and success at the royal court.
Château Latour is one of the three Medòc producers, together with Chateau Lafite Rotschild and Chateau Margaux, to obtain the Premier Cru denomination in the classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855.
Its history sees several changes of ownership, including foreign ones; in 1993 it returned to French ownership on the initiative of the financier Francois Pinault.
Château Latour is located in the Bordeaux region, among the most famous Appellations of the Médoc, the Pauillac AOC.
The seventy-eight hectares of vineyards enjoy an extraordinary terroir, planted eighty percent in Cabernet Sauvignon, eighteen percent in Merlot and the rest in Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; of these, forty-seven make up the Enclos, the original vineyard, whose grapes are reserved for the creation of the first label, "Le Grand Vin".
