Jameson 12 years old has a wonderful pot still character combined with the smoothness you would expect from Jameson. Potency still content on standard Jameson varies from 5-7 years old. With the 12-year-old, the extra aging adds significant depth and complexity. A heavier style of pot still whiskey is used, and a good deal is stored in sherry casks (again a higher amount than the standard bottling). The result is a whiskey that bridges the gap between standard blends and the heavier single pot still whiskeys from Jameson. This much-loved version of Jameson has been discontinued and will only be available from time to time when we find stock sources.
