South African crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Contantia
Buitenverwachting means "Beyond expectation" and is located on the east-facing slopes of Constantiaberg just 12 km from False Bay.
The vineyards are located on composted granite soils and the cool winds from the sea combined with modest daytime temperatures produce fresh and full-bodied wines. Today, Buitenverwachting enjoys great respect for its visionary and future-oriented style under the sure hand of winemaker Brad Paton.
The grapes come from vines that are up to 17 years old.
Crisp, fruity and slightly full-bodied with notes of green figs, green pepper, flint and gooseberries.
