The single-wine estate works with an uncompromising approach in both the field and the cellar. Yields are kept remarkably low, and fermentation takes place on cement, after which the wine is aged in 100% new barriques for around 18-20 months. 2005 is considered one of the greatest vintages in Bordeaux in recent times, characterised by dense structure, deep fruit and extraordinary balance.
The wine is not classified in the official Bordeaux system, but often achieves higher reputations than many classified châteaux.
