Comte Senard Corton-Clos des Meix 2011

Corton is the largest Grand Cru field in Burgundy. Domaine Comte Senard specializes in Corton Grand Cru wines, and the Corton Clos des Meix Grand Cru is the jewel of their estate holdings. Senard is the sole owner of Clos des Meix, and therefore they can write "Monopole" on the label. The wine from here is considered the most charming of all red wines from the Corton hill. This is because the Clos des Meix parcel faces due south, so the grapes get optimal ripening conditions.
