“Banksy approved” wine sold at the Norwegian wine monopoly for a short period of time before the product had to be removed from sale.

The producer claims to have a written statement from Banksy to use the famous artwork “balloon girl” and Banksy signature . This was later challenged by British company Pest Control Office, known for representing Banksy. The result was that the wine had to be revoked from the market, as the Norwegian wine monopoly said the handwritten letters (allegedly from Banksy) was not enough to claim permission to use the artist signature and artwork for wine selling purposes.

The Norwegian wine monopoly describes the wine as “Rich and long aftertaste of dark berries.”

As Banksy would put it: «Copyright is for assholes».
