Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Clos du Roy 2018

The east-facing Clos du Roy is undoubtedly the best terroir in the appellation, and is one of the candidates for the upcoming 1er Cru classification. The wine is full-bodied with a generous bouquet of red cherries mixed with strawberries and raspberries. The fresh, lively palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine pearl of acidity and one of the most precise finishes among Pataille's reds this year. Classic stuff!
