What does old Bordeaux from the 70s taste like?

Notes from Cellartracker:

15-03-2020 - GEOFF7777 WROTE:
Many many years ago, I was not a fan of 1976 as a vintage, as it almost always suffered in comparison to those preceding and following (the days of $20 1970's!). The opportunity to purchase well cellared examples at the right price came along, and here we are. Cordier wines were made with a rustic touch at the time, and this shows in the well-preserved nature of this bottle. Dark scarlet red in color and initially damp earth and autumn leaves. With air cedar, blackcurrant and iron with powdery tannins. Day 2 and there's some in the decanter and it is even better, as some cassis and tomato leaf has shown itself. Not great, but fun. One left.

Still a deep color. Warm, earthy, sage nose. Showing its age in the taste, but still elegant and long.
