Chacra Treinta y dos 32 Pinot Noir 2008
/ #26433279
According to Parker, Chacra is the best Pinot Noir ever to come from Argentina.
This is the château's flagship with hand-numbered bottles from a small perfect yield.
Comes in a nice 3 piece OWC with hand numbered bottles - number 1243, 1244 and 1245🍷🍷🍷
Beautiful new world wine that shows what Argentina can do - still in the early stages of the drinking window.
96 points from Fallstaff who writes:
On the nose sour cherries, leather, white pepper, assam pepper, currants and juniper. Complex and ever-changing and also exudes great freshness. On the palate with noticeably grainy, slightly clinging (but impeccably ripe) tannins just starting to soften. Salty notes, creamy base and a finishing fruit that also seems quite youthful. An almost heady pinot noir - dense, extracted to the maximum and correspondingly powerful, but still with nuances, a mineral base and fine tension. Tremendous finish.
