Malconsorts, along with Cros Parantoux, are considered the best 1st Cru fields in Vosne-Romanée. The southern part of the field borders the Nuits-Saint-Georges, while the northern part borders the Grand Cru field La Tache.
Clos Frantin uses approx. 50% new barrels and in certain vintages a proportion of whole clusters is also used.
