Pingus 2021
/ #43047019The grapes for Pingus come from the 2 parcels Barrosso, where the vines are now more than 65 years old, and San Cristóbal, where they are even older. Altogether, we're just talking about an area of 4.2 ha., which in good / rich years delivers enough fruit to fill around 30 barrels. On top of the 2017 frost, which affected about ¼ of the vines despite expensively installed fans/warm air blowers, the vines had some catching up to do, and since after a rainy winter there was at the same time sufficient moisture in the soil for the vines to get through the dry summer months without stress, 2018 was both generous and a good year for Pingus . So both quantity and quality are top notch....
