Yes, in 2013, Il Marroneto produced for the first and only time a Riserva cuvée of its Brunello di Montalcino “Madonna delle Grazie”, exclusively in magnum format (1.5 liters). This special edition was made from a single barrel selected by winemaker Alessandro Mori, who extended the maturation to 41 months in oak barrels, followed by 10 months in bottle. In total, only 1,700 numbered magnums were produced, making it an extremely rare cuvée and sought after by collectors.

This 2013 Riserva has received critical acclaim, including a score of 99/100 from Robert Parker. It is considered an exceptional wine for laying down, capable of evolving favorably over several decades.

To date, there are no other vintages of this “Madonna delle Grazie” Riserva produced by Il Marroneto. This 2013 edition therefore remains unique in the history of the estate.
