Kei Shiogai

Kei Shiogai is a bit of a superstar in Burgundy, quickly establishing himself as a talented and innovative winemaker.

Winemaker Kei Shiogai, originally from Japan, left Tokyo to pursue his interest in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, traveling to New Zealand. After a brief stay there, he continued to Burgundy, where he studied viticulture and winemaking in both Beaune and Dijon. After completing his education, Kei Shiogai began working in the cellars of some of the finest domaines, including Philippe Pacalet, Domaine Rousseau, and Domaine Roulot.

Today, Kei Shiogai exclusively produces Burgundy wines under his own name—and one must say, with great success.

Despite the massive demand and attention for the initial vintages, you can often be fortunate to acquire rare bottles from Kei Shiogai for sale by private collectors here on the ShareWine marketplace.
