Legendary wine from the distinctive 1970 vintage in Saint-Estèphe, characterized by the structured, classic style with dark fruit and potent tannins. Ripe, tertiary character is expected now, where the area traditionally delivers durable red wines - especially in solid vintages like this. Purchased at the time from Chas E Vine in Aarhus. A little shrinkage. Wrinkled, but intact, label. During my ownership stored in a wine refrigerator at 13 degrees.
