Deutz Rose 2012
/ #56915593
Deutz is one of Champagne's older and well-established houses and has long been known for a classic, slightly mineral and focused style. The Rosé edition is characterized by a balanced composition of primarily Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, supplemented by Chardonnay, which gives the wine a combination of finesse and structure. The fermentation is done traditionally and is given plenty of time sur lie, which adds complexity and fine bubbles.
The 2012 vintage in Champagne is considered one of the stronger vintages in recent times, where a particularly dry and warm summer produced grapes with maturity, depth and balance. The combination of the house's approach and the favorable vintage results in a rosé with resilient fruit, attractive acidity and the potential for several years of development under good conditions.
