On the palate, the wine is dense and voluptuous, with silky tannins and an elegant structure. It is full and pleasant, with a certain power but also a finesse that makes the wine approachable even after several decades of aging.

Au nez, nous les arômes de fruits noirs et d’épices dominent, avec des notes animales, de cuir, de jus de viande et une touche terreuse. On retrouve également des nuances de cèdre, boîte à cigares et tabac, caractéristiques des Pauillac matures.
En bouche, la matière est dense et voluptueuse, tanins soyeux, structure élégante. La bouche est pleine, agréable, avec une certaine puissance mais aussi une finesse qui rend le vin accessible après plusieurs décennies de garde.
On finit par une bonne longueur, persistante, sur des notes de fruits mûrs, d’épices et de sous-bois.
