En regnfuld juni blev efterfulgt af en ret tør juli og en ekstremt tør august og september. Høsten begyndte den 8. september.
OPRINDELSEN
2011 Riserva blev produceret med Sangiovese Grosso-klonen BBS11 (Brunello Biondi Santi 11), identificeret og udvalgt af Biondi-Santi hos Tenuta Greppo i 1970'erne. Denne Riserva bruger druer udelukkende fra de ældste vinstokke, over 25 år gamle.
FORFINNINGEN
2011 Riserva blev lagret i tre år på slavonske egetræsfade. Den har haft en meget lang flaskelagringsperiode i den stille, mørke "La Storica", Tenuta Greppos lagringskælder, hvor alle historiske Riserva Biondi-Santi-årgange er omhyggeligt bevaret.
FØLELSEN
2011 Riserva byder på exceptionelle frugtagtige noter og viser al sin elegance i glasset. Med en strålende rubinrød farve viser denne 2011 Riserva al sin ungdoms elegance, intensitet og energi med en bred og indbydende bouquet. Tanninstrukturen er stadig under udvikling, vidunderligt understøttet af en frugtagtig kerne med antydninger af sort peber og andre krydderier. Det tørre klima i 2011 gjorde denne Riserva perfekt til at nydes i ung alder, uden at ændre dens unikke intensitet eller lagringspotentiale.

THE 2011 VINTAGE
A rainy June was followed by a rather dry July and an extremely dry August and September. The harvest began on September 8th.
THE ORIGIN
The 2011 Riserva was produced with the Sangiovese Grosso clone BBS11 (Brunello Biondi Santi 11), identified and selected by Biondi-Santi at Tenuta Greppo in the 1970s. This Riserva uses grapes sourced exclusively from the oldest vines, over 25 years old.
THE REFINEMENT
The 2011 Riserva was aged for three years in Slavonian oak barrels. It benefited from a very long bottle aging period in the quiet, dark "La Storica," Tenuta Greppo's aging cellar, where all historic Riserva Biondi-Santi vintages are meticulously preserved.
THE EMOTION
The 2011 Riserva offers exceptional fruity notes and displays all its elegance in the glass. With a brilliant ruby red color, this 2011 Riserva displays all the elegance, intensity, and energy of its youth with a broad and inviting bouquet. The tannic structure is still evolving, wonderfully supported by a fruity core with hints of black pepper and other spices. The dry climate of 2011 made this Riserva perfect for enjoying while still young, without altering its unique intensity or its aging potential.

LE VINTAGE 2011
Un mois de juin pluvieux a été suivi d'un mois de juillet plutôt sec, puis d'août et de septembre extrêmement secs. Les vendanges ont débuté le 8 septembre.
L'ORIGINE
La Riserva 2011 a été produite à partir du clone Sangiovese Grosso BBS11 (Brunello Biondi Santi 11), identifié et sélectionné par Biondi-Santi à Tenuta Greppo dans les années 1970. Cette Riserva utilise des raisins provenant exclusivement des plus vieilles vignes, âgées de plus de 25 ans.
LE RAFFINEMENT
La Riserva 2011 a vieilli trois ans en fûts de chêne de Slavonie. Elle a bénéficié d'un très long vieillissement en bouteille dans le calme et l'obscurité de « La Storica », la cave de vieillissement de Tenuta Greppo, où sont méticuleusement conservés tous les millésimes historiques de Riserva Biondi-Santi.
L'ÉMOTION
La Riserva 2011 offre des notes fruitées exceptionnelles et révèle toute son élégance dans le verre. D'une robe rouge rubis éclatante, ce millésime dévoile toute l'élégance, l'intensité et la vigueur de sa jeunesse, avec un bouquet ample et séduisant. Sa structure tannique, encore en développement, est magnifiquement soutenue par un cœur fruité aux accents de poivre noir et d'épices. Le climat sec de 2011 a permis à cette Riserva d'être dégustée jeune, sans altérer son intensité unique ni son potentiel de garde.

Un giugno piovoso è stato seguito da un luglio piuttosto secco e da un agosto e settembre estremamente secchi. La vendemmia è iniziata l’8 settembre.
LA PROVENIENZA
La Riserva 2011 è stata prodotta con il clone Sangiovese Grosso BBS11 (Brunello Biondi Santi 11), individuato e selezionato da Biondi-Santi alla Tenuta Greppo negli anni settanta. Per questa Riserva sono state utilizzate uve provenienti esclusivamente dalle vigne più vecchie con oltre 25 anni d’età.
L’AFFINAMENTO
La Riserva 2011 è stata affinata 3 anni in botti di rovere di Slavonia. Ha potuto beneficiare di un lunghissimo affinamento in bottiglia nella quiete e nel buio de "La Storica", la cantina di affinamento della Tenuta Greppo, dove tutte le annate storiche di Riserva Biondi-Santi vengono scrupolosamente conservate.
L’EMOZIONE
La Riserva 2011 offre delle eccezionali note fruttate e mostra tutta la sua eleganza nel bicchiere. Dal colore rosso rubino brillante, questa Riserva 2011 mostra tutta la sua eleganza, intensità ed energia dovute alla giovinezza con un ampio e invitante bouquet. La struttura tannica è ancora in evoluzione, meravigliosamente spallegiata da un cuore fruttato con sentori di pepe nero e altre spezie. Il clima asciutto del 2011 ha reso questa Riserva perfetta per essere apprezzata fin da giovane, senza che venga alterata nè la sua unica intensità tantomeno il suo potenziale di invecchiamento.
