Yves Gangloff, der oprindeligt stammer fra Alsace, ankom til Rhône-dalen i slutningen af 1970'erne efter at have mødt sin kommende kone. Originally from Alsace, Yves Gangloff arrived in the Rhône Valley in the late 1970s, after meeting his future wife. He began by working as a farm laborer for Delas, where he learned the art of viticulture and winemaking. Alongside this work, Gaston André, a local winemaker, offered the couple some of his vineyards. The Gangloff legend was born. Initially, Mathilde and Yves Gangloff sold their harvest to négociants before producing their first vintage in 1992. Success came quickly, and the estate expanded. Following Mathilde Gangloff's passing in 2011, their children, Loup and Elsa, took over the reins. The vines and wines are cultivated as naturally as possible, using methods close to organic (though not certified) and producing natural wines.
A prominent figure in the Rhône Valley, Yves Gangloff is an artist-winemaker who exudes a unique sensibility, particularly through his wines. His Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu wines have long been highly prized by connoisseurs.
About the vintage
This Côte-Rôtie showcases the beauty of Syrah with its intense garnet color and a complex nose of red fruit, spicy notes, and floral aromas like violet. On the palate, it's a harmonious nectar of purity, freshness, and complexity. Smooth, luscious, and with well-integrated tannins, this wine pairs wonderfully with duck breast and a fricassee of fresh mushrooms. The Gangloff family crafted it using a meticulous process of hand-harvesting, careful sorting of the grapes, destemming, and maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. La Sereine Noire was then aged in oak barrels for two to three years. This wine can be cellared for 10 to 15 years.

Alsacien d'origine, Yves Gangloff est arrivé dans la vallée du Rhône à la fin des années 1970, après y avoir rencontré celle qui deviendra son épouse. Il commence alors par se faire embaucher comme ouvrier agricole chez Delas où il apprend le métier de la vigne et du vin. Parallèlement à cette activité, Gaston André, vigneron local, propose au couple de lui céder quelques vignes. Le mythe Gangloff peut débuter. Au départ, Mathilde et Yves Gangloff vendent leur récolte au négoce avant de signer leur premier millésime en 1992. Le succès ne se fait pas attendre et l'exploitation s'agrandit. A la disparition de Mathilde Gangloff en 2011, leurs enfants Loup et Elsa ont pris le relais. Les vignes et les vins sont travaillés le plus naturellement possible avec des méthodes proches du bio (sans certification) et des vins naturels.
Figure de la Vallée du Rhône, Yves Gangloff est un vigneron artiste qui dégage, notamment à travers ses vins, une sensibilité unique. Ses côte-rôties comme ses condrieu sont extrêmement prisées des amateurs et ce de longue date.
A propos de la cuvée
Cette Côte-Rôtie magnifie la syrah à travers une robe grenat intense, un nez complexe de fruits rouges, de notes épicées et de fleurs comme la violette. Quant à sa bouche, c‘est un petit nectar d'harmonie, de pureté, de fraîcheur et de complexité. Onctueuse, gourmande, aux tanins fondus, cette cuvée fait des merveilles avec des aiguillettes de canard et une fricassée de champignons frais. La famille Gangloff l'a élaborée en procédant à des vendanges manuelles, un tri des grumes minutieux, un éraflage, une macération en cuves inox avec un contrôle des températures. La Sereine Noire a ensuite été élevée en barrique de 2 à 3 ans. Ce vin se garde entre 10 et 15 ans.
