Moccagatta Barbaresco Basarin 2005

Barbaresco "Bazarin", Tenuta Moccagatta.

Moccagatta is the only serious competitor to Gaja, and in this terrific vintage, it might be better. Unique and difficult to acquire.

Bazaarinmarken is located in the municipality of Neive, which is the easternmost part of the area some distance from the vineyard. Moccagatta has 1.7 ha. on a south-facing slope. The soil is a little lighter than on the "Cole" and "Bric Balin" fields. High fruit intensity with many nuances in a juicy and welcoming way.
