Cesare Pio was one of the first to believe in the potential and high quality of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera but also of other great Piedmontese wines. At the end of the 19th century he was once again a pioneer among winemakers to produce these wines with a philosophy dedicated to the terroir and the quality of the latter. The company was founded in 1881 and this family has been producing Piedmontese wines for five generations. Pio Cesare owns more than 50 hectares of vineyards in the most qualitative and sought-after denominations, whose production is deliberately limited to maintain a certain requirement.
