The M. Marengo 2016 Barolo Riserva Brunate is released in a tiny production of just 700 bottles. From an iconic vintage, the wine is beautifully balanced and intense with wild berry aromas that segue gently to spice, tarry smoke and powdered licorice. This vintage really shows the incredible depth and detail that the Nebbiolo grape is capable of rendering, especially in deft hands such as these. This is one for your cellar. Monica Larner
