So 2019 was a pure Syrah year, and with the wines from Notto, with a low alcohol percentage and a lightness. Something that is felt in Il Carrubo. 2019 is, by Sicilian standards, a year of late harvest. It probably helps to give the two single-field wines that were picked (you had to pick before the rain) an incredibly lean structure combined with great body, freshness and length. Perhaps the biggest vintage so far for Peter Vinding-Diers.
Elegant scent, ripe fresh berries, floral tone with fine nuances from the barrel. Juicy taste, slim, ripe tannin, marked and fresh aftertaste with elegant fruit.

Montecarrubo is the crowning achievement of Peter Vinding-Dier's life with wine.
