Nice barbaresco from the top cru Gallina in an underrated vintage.
Gallina is located at 240 meters altitude with perfect South-West facing exposure; and here Castello di Neive has up to 50-year-old canes, where only the best are selected for this Barbaresco.
The wine is aged for 2 years in large used French barrels, followed by 1 year in the bottle.
Castello di Neive is generally regarded as one of the municipality's standard-bearers.
Stored in wine fridge since purchase.
Note small stain on the label.
