Zarihs 2019
/ #22395158In the 1920s, a Danish couple went on an adventure and ended up settling in New Zealand. Here they lived and started a family, but this is about their grandson, Chris Ringland. At 18, he moved to Australia to study oenology. Today he is a sought after winemaker and has several wines that have been given 100/100 points by Robert Parker.
The grapes are harvested from vineyards located 600-700 meters above sea level and are affected by a cool breeze from the Moncayo mountain. This is good for the grape's acidity, but the climate gives a very dry harvest yield, and very few grapes, albeit of very high quality. The wine spends 15-20 days in steel tanks, after which 40% is poured into new American casks for 12 months, while the rest remains in the steel tanks.
