Pingus Flor 2021

Flor de Pingus comes from partially leased vines near the two parcels where the grapes come from for Pingus itself. The vines are only younger, but with plants between 35 and 45 years old, we are still talking about well-grown vines whose roots penetrate deep into the subsoil and in the future contribute great minerality to the wine. As with Pingus, it is 100% Tempranillo. The wine ferments in large wooden barrels, and most of it is left to nature. This is followed by 14 months in a mixture of new French casks and casks that have been used once for Pingus before bottling without clarification and filtration. The wine is similar in many ways to Pingus, and the difference is far less than the big difference in price.
