Size: 750 ml (Standard)

A very nice Vintage Port at an incredible price (DKK 261 is the WineSearcher price, 2 bottles for sale. The wine is nice already, with elegance, fullness and rich aroma, but better in 4-10 + years. The wine has an average of 89p / 100 by critics.
Rozès, along with Noval, is one of the "French" houses in Oporto. The house was long owned by LVMH (which owns Krug, Moët, d'Yquem and a lot of perfume and clothes), but in 1999 it sold to another Champagne company, Vranken Pommery, which among other things. stands behind brands such as Pommery, Heidsieck Monopole, Charles Lafitte, Georges Goulet, Demoiselle + a few wine castles.
Not tasted by Parker, who generally writes: "These are all nice values. The wines are very consistent — stylistically different according to vintage conditions, of course, but qualitatively steady. They are nice deals in relatively accessible ports that are nonetheless not wimpy. "
Oldenburg writes: "Has invested heavily in soil and mechanics, and the wines are noticeably more personal ... an overall strategy that is as ambitious as impressive" ... Especially since 2002-03, the quality has increased for each new vintage. .
The house owns as many as 9 wineries, all in the Upper Douro, which is historically the best. A total of 220 hectares of vines in terraces. which is operated certified sustainably. The wine is made from blend, equal parts Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, followed by 10% Sousão and Tinto Cão, plus a touch of Tinta Roriz. 2012 yielded only a little wine, which, however, is generally considered very fine, gr rather cool growing season and good weather during the harvest.
