The wine is produced by Spanish Bodegas Reyes. The house was founded in 1994 by Juan José and Luis Reyes, together with their father Teófilo who acted as technical director. At that time, Teófilo had already been involved in the wine business for over 50 years. Here he had been both a recognized wine producer who became associated with some of the biggest names in Spain, but also as the founder of the first cooperative wineries in the region.
The first vintage produced by Bodegas Reyes was in 1994, and this wine was placed among the ten best wines in the world after a wine tasting event held by the renowned and prestigious wine magazine "The Wine Spectator". It was the first time that a Spanish wine reached the top 10!
