The wine appears dark ruby, dense and opaque. It has a great intensity in the nose with dark berries, pine, eucalyptus and is very full-bodied in the mouth with dark berries, balsamic vinegar, strong integrated tannins, nice acidity and a long, long tail. A very exciting and complex wine with great storage potential (Bjarne Mouridsen)
The wine comes from a single field with 80-year-old vines, which for a period have not been cared for. Hence the name "the abandoned field".
