Description:
Jacquesson's 700 wines are "in class with the exceptional Initiale from Selosse and Krug Grande Cuvée at a far more affordable price", wrote Revue du Vin. However, Jacquesson needs to be better than even these rivals. And the wines are becoming more and more refined year by year, with Cuvée 739 as the highlight so far.

It comes after 738, who was the test winner in Politiken's big Champagne tasting in December - like 737 and 736 in the years before: "A relatively small (under 300,000 fl / year) producer of real quality champagne ... It's big!" 738 was "only" No. 2 in the Stock Exchange's large Champagne tasting in December 2015 (No. 1 Bollinger Grande Année 2005 costs DKK 1,000 in return) and Decanter's Top 10 Champagne "to lay down".

Cuvée 739 is vintage 2011 supplemented with 31% reserve of older vintages. 57% chardonnay (against 61% in cuvée 738) + balance of pinot noir and meunier. The 2011 vintage started with an icy cold winter followed by promising dry, hot spring alternating with severe frost. Since then, however, the weather got much better and delivered inviting wines in perfect balance. A total of 264,292 bottles have been bottled. As WineAdvocate writes: "Full-bodied, lovely, pure and fresh on the palate, with nutty flavors and a stunningly smooth fruit, this is a full-flavored, yet very delicate Champagne with a very fine and well structured mineral finish". Made on Jacquesson's method: 100% Grand Cru and 1.Cru, organic operation, low yield, late harvest, fermentation and storage in oak and since storage for a good 4 years in a bottle with the fermentation precipitate. No clarification, cold treatment or filtration and with the lowest dosage of all -just 3.5 g / l (where the law allows 14). 100% wine from own 28 hectare domain + 10 hectare neighbors, where Jacquesson manages the vineyards.
