Very traditional Barolo from unique monopoly field on Sarmassa, aged in old 2500 liter oak barrels

Very young yet clear in expression with a balsamic nose with elements of dark cherry, marzipan, dried fruit and tar. Intense flavor with deep dark fruit, distinctive firm Nebbiolo tannins and an enormously long mineral finish. Great storage potential.

Powerful wine with firm structure - lots of intensity, tannin and acid - which means that the wine in its youth requires intense food. Meat dishes with a thick sauce - make an excellent combination with truffles!
