Pintia 2019 from Vega Sicilia is an excellent representative of the Toro region. This wine is made from 100% Tinta de Toro, which is known for its intense aromas and depth. The color is deep, dark ruby, which already reveals something about the wine's powerful character. At the first scent notes, dark berries such as blackberry and blackcurrant are perceived, combined with subtle hints of licorice, spices and a touch of mocha. The palate is rich with rich, ripe fruit notes balanced by silky tannins and an elegant acidity. It has a remarkable structure and ages well, making it both intense and balanced. The subsequent aging in oak casks adds further complexity with hints of vanilla and toasted wood.
