Riesling Spätlese ,Mosel, Weingut Dr. Siemens 2007

This is a bit of a rarity. A beautifully developed, but still also impressive vital Riesling Spätlese, where the grapes have been allowed to exchange so much of their sugar content for alcohol that we end up in the category that the Germans very aptly call "feinherb". 28g. residual sugar is left and this means, together with the 12 years of refining in the bottle, that the wine is on its way out of the sweet kitchen and into the salty, where it will be able to amaze and excite if it is allowed to build a bridge over to the mild sweetness in servings with for example lobster and king crab.

The wine is stored under optimal conditions at Weingut Dr. Siemens / Weingut Würtzberg until November 2019, subsequently in its own wine cellar.
