Les Strates 2020 – Clos des Calades
Organic red wine from Langlade, Languedoc, France

Les Strates 2020 is an organic red wine from the small area of Langlade in southern France, where Clos des Calades works with a focus on terroir and natural vinification. The wine consists of 80% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre, grown on the Puech Chaud parcel at 120 meters above sea level. Here, the calcareous soil and well-ventilated microclimate produce fresh and complex wines.

Vinification and style

The grapes are carefully harvested in small 11 kg boxes. Half of the grapes are fermented on the stalks, and the fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeast – without any additives. No barrel aging is used, ensuring a clean, juicy and fruity style with a focus on the natural character of the grapes and the precision of the terroir.
