The palate shows terrific balance, very fine tannins (the perfect tannins!) and a long, very clean and supple finish. A vintage of finesse and elegance with energy, power and light. This is refined beyond comprehension; there's purity, elegance, power and detail, symmetry and proportion. A wine that took my breath away. Just for the record, the vineyard is a 3.4-hectare slope planted between 81 and 116 years ago with Garnacha, Garnacha Peluda, Cariñena and 2% white varieties at 650 meters in altitude on pure slate that they harvested on September 10th and got 12 hectoliters per hectare (extremely low yields). The full clusters fermented with indigenous yeasts in a 3,200-liter oak foudre for four weeks, and the wine matured in 225- and 300-liter oak barrels for 18 months. It has 14.64% alcohol, a pH of 3.3 and 5.4 grams of acidity (tartaric). 2,193 bottles were filled in April 2022."

La bouche révèle un équilibre remarquable, des tanins d'une finesse exceptionnelle (des tanins parfaits !) et une finale longue, d'une grande pureté et d'une belle souplesse. Un millésime d'une grande finesse et d'une élégance remarquable, empreint d'énergie, de puissance et de lumière. Ce vin est d'un raffinement inouï ; il allie pureté, élégance, puissance et précision, symétrie et harmonie. Pour information, le vignoble, situé sur un coteau de 3,4 hectares planté il y a entre 81 et 116 ans, est composé de Grenache, de Grenache Peluda et de 2 % de cépages blancs. Il se trouve à 650 mètres d'altitude sur un sol d'ardoise pure. Les vendanges, effectuées le 10 septembre, ont donné un rendement de 12 hectolitres par hectare. L'élevage s'est fait avec des levures indigènes dans un foudre de chêne de 3 200 litres pendant quatre semaines, puis le vin a mûri pendant… » Vieilli 18 mois en fûts de chêne de 225 et 300 litres, ce vin titre à 14,64 % d'alcool, possède un pH de 3,3 et une acidité tartrique de 5,4 grammes. 2 193 bouteilles ont été mises en bouteille en avril 2022.
