Tasting
The Yattarna Chardonnay 2021 is the very expression of a wine that is both powerful and refined. Its smooth texture blends harmoniously with a refreshing acidity, and sublime oak notes unfold delicately on the palate.
An exceptional Australian Chardonnay

The property
An emblem of excellence, Penfolds has stood as a symbol of great Australian wines since the early 20th century, thanks in large part to the tenacity of a bold figure: Mary Penfold. The renowned British woman and her husband, Christopher Rawson, arrived in Australia in 1844 and quickly acquired a 200-hectare estate in the heart of Adelaide. Captivated by this viticultural gem, Mary Penfold subsequently dedicated herself wholeheartedly to managing the estate, transforming it into the largest wine producer in South Australia.
Characterized by depth, elegance and complexity, Penfolds wines have been praised by critics for decades and have received countless awards for their quality.

The vineyard
This cuvée is sourced from several parcels of the Penfolds estate located in Tasmania, Tumbarumba, and the Adelaide Hills. The wine therefore reflects a range of Australia's finest terroirs but remains, above all, deeply marked by the Penfolds style.

Winemaking and aging
After the harvest and fermentation phase, the wine is aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
