The history

The estate was founded in 1885 and has dedicated itself through generations to producing wines of the highest quality and expressing Burgundy's terroir authentically. The family has been involved in winemaking for generations. Henri Boillot himself is the fifth generation of winemakers in the family but has been crucial in elevating the estate to the top level.

Henri Boillot produces a wide range of red and white wines from different vineyards and appellations in Burgundy. Here are some of the most well-known wines:

• Meursault "Les Charmes": Single vineyard Meursault from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Charmes, presenting a rich and complex character with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and subtle spices.

• Puligny-Montrachet "Clos de la Mouchère": From one of the best Premier Cru vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet, Henri Boillot creates a masterpiece of an elegant Clos de la Mouchère, offering rich flavor intensity, penetrating minerality, and a plethora of citrus notes and white flowers.

• Volnay "Les Chevrets": An intense and full-bodied Pinot Noir from one of the best vineyards in the Volnay appellation. The wine has soft, round tannins, dark and red berry notes, and a subtle earthy character.

• Pommard "Les Rugiens": An elegant Pommard expressing both depth and complexity with a full body of dark fruits and spices.

• Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru: The Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne is among the absolute finest in the region, as well as in Boillot's portfolio. This is 100% Chardonnay with impressive structure. It delivers greatness in the glass with richness and complexity in notes of citrus, stone fruits, and nuts, beautifully held together by the flowing minerality.

Henri Boillot has produced many excellent vintages over the years. Some of the best vintages include:

• 2010: An outstanding vintage known for its balance and significant aging potential.

• 2014: Another great vintage, especially for the whites, which are extremely elegant and persistent.

• 2015: A warmer vintage that resulted in powerful and fruity red wines, enjoyable for drinking.

• 2017: An excellent white wine vintage, producing lean wines with good concentration, depth, and freshness.

• 2019: A fantastic vintage for both red and white Burgundy wines, characterized by impressive intensity and freshness in the fruit.
