Weingut Weegmuller Weisser Burgunder 2022

The Weisser Burgunder grape is more commonly known as Pinot Blanc in the wines of Alsace in northern France. But it is also grown on a smaller scale in Germany, and Weingut Weegmuller really manages to get exciting wines out of the grape. The taste is best described as a meeting between Chardonnay's taste notes of melon and yellow apples and Riesling's lively acidity. The result is a wine with legs in both camps, but which in no way feels divided. The expression is stringy and the grape variety stands out in the most beautiful way in the glass.
