Since the first version from 2014, Limestone-Riesling has been the prototype of the perfect sunshine Riesling. Originating from the Grand Cru fields "Kirchspiel" and "Abtserde", this 2018 Limestone shows a limestone-like and wonderful fresh nose with lime, spearmint, green apples, pears, fully ripe citrus fruit and a limestone touch that matches the 2017 version. Aromatic is again an expression that is not primary, but which has deeper and more smoldering tones. Sensory, the wine is almost dry in taste despite the fact that the analysis shows good residual sweetness and is, so to speak, the introduction to the vineyard's Kabinett wines. But the terrific, juicy acid almost absorbs the sweetness, so the wine turns out to be upright, mouth-watering, salty and tantalizing on the tongue. Absolutely vibrant, refreshing and bursting with energy, this playful limestone Riesling is irresistibly fresh fruit and tantalizingly salty limestone nuances. - "Drink me", it calls enticing, and you are rewarded with mouth-watering, mouth-watering Riesling juiciness, which makes your mouth water drift from the tip of your tongue and out into an animating and extremely limestone finale packed with energy.
