95 Vinous - There's a radiance to the 2018 Brunello di Montalcino that makes it a total pleasure to taste today, as sweet exotic spices come together with dried black cherries, dusty flowers and hints of clove. This is pure pleasure on the palate, displaying both an opulence of fruit, yet also total poise and refinement, as sour berries find an energizing lift from juicy acidity. The 2018 doesn't miss a beat, tapering off with rounded tannins while lingering on the palate for well up to a minute with an energizing burst of citrus, nuances of sweet rose and licorice. This is already so pretty today, yet it also possesses the balanced structure to mature beautifully, which isn't found in many Brunellos of this vintage. What a darling.

95 Vinoso - Il Brunello di Montalcino 2018 ha una radiosità che lo rende un vero piacere da degustare oggi, con spezie dolci esotiche che si uniscono alle ciliegie nere essiccate, ai fiori polverosi e ai sentori di chiodi di garofano. Un piacere puro al palato, che mostra sia l'opulenza del frutto, sia un equilibrio e una raffinatezza totali, con le bacche aspre che trovano un tocco energizzante nell'acidità succosa. Il 2018 non perde un colpo, si assottiglia con tannini arrotondati e indugia sul palato per circa un minuto con un'esplosione energizzante di agrumi, sfumature di rosa dolce e liquirizia. Già oggi è un vino molto bello, ma possiede anche la struttura equilibrata per maturare magnificamente, qualità che non si riscontra in molti Brunello di questa annata. Che tesoro!
