La Spinetta Vursu Vigneto Campe Barolo DOCG 2012
/ #63373859
The Barolo Campé DOCG from La Spinetta presents itself in the glass in a dark ruby, almost black color, and reveals its wonderful aromas of raspberry, mint, rose petals and a sweet touch of tobacco.
This single-varietal Nebbiolo opens with power and complexity on the palate. Fleshy and full-bodied, this red wine reveals nuances of dark chocolate before lingering in a very long finish.
After the grapes are harvested, alcoholic fermentation takes place for 7 to 8 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, which lasts approximately 24 months. Before bottling, this red wine is placed in stainless steel tanks for 9 months, then aged in the bottle for an additional 12 months. No filtration or clarification occurs before bottling.
