Savennieres. Chateau de la Mulonnière, L'effet Papillon blanc. Guy Saget 2014
/ #37232096 fl. In OC. Savennières Chateau de la Mulonnière "L'Effet Papillon Blanc" is made from the grape variety: Chenin.
Savennières "L'Effet Papillon Blanc" has a color of great purity with golden reflections. On the nose we find white fruits (quince, peaches) and yellow fruits (apricots, mirabelle plum), then aromas of aging (woody, vanilla, sweet licorice). The palate is fine and dense with both aromas of fruity white wines combined with a "touch of acidity" which refreshes the finish to give it great length.
After decanting, its aromatic complexity and flavor balance will allow it to make several food / wine combinations with, among others: fish or shellfish accompanied by a creamy reduction sauce; fried foie gras accompanied by cooked white fruits; white meat with cream sauce, sweet bread; white pudding with truffles; hard cheeses (aged 24 or 36 months, old mimolette).
