Vinding Montecarrubo Il Piccolo 2014

Il Piccolo is made from (almost) 100% Syrah, which gives wines of extremely high quality in Sicily.
In the aroma, the wine has hints of blackberries, blueberries and wild herbs. The taste is dense with nice ripe tannins and good acidity, which together with the controlled alcohol gives a nice balance and coolness.
Fermentation on cement, both with the grapes' natural yeast and via saccharomyces. Subsequently, the wine is placed on Troncai's oak barrels, where it completes the malolactic fermentation and stores for 9 months before being bottled.
